DESCRIPTION:
Im forced to sell my dream car due to lack of space and money. My parents in the process of trying to sell their farm stead (if interested in a house in the country just outside of Mason City, IA I can get you more information on that too) which is where I had my car stored plus with my second child coming in the spring Im being forced to give up on my dream of having a xxxx Chevy at this point in my life. The car was put into storage years ago and I have a clear Iowa title in my name. I started trying to restore this car years ago and disassembled the car in the process. The frame has been sand blasted and repainted with Eastwoods encapsultor and chassis black paint. I have all the parts, chrome and trim along with many extra parts for some one to complete what I started or start over from the beginning and make it how you want it. Included in the sale are new outside rockers, cross member for shock remount which fixes a trouble problem with the 57 Chevy and a new gas tank that I got as Christmas present from my wife last year which was then powder coated silver. I have many optional parts to help customize the car how you would like that I will include also. I have a complete set of matching slotted aluminum rims plus the extra rims shown in the pictures, different style of bucket seats from high backs to low backs for the front that I will include and the back seat is original and in a very nice black vinyl. I have a complete 283 engine which has the xxxx casting and stamp numbers. In xxxx it was the first year of the 283 in which they had their own numbers for that year, plus complete cast iron power glide transmission which would be the transmission that would have been in a xxxx Chevy and I also have an extra front windshield that I will include. With all that said the car was originally a In-line 6 cylinder with a automatic powerglide transmission, 210 trim package four door sedan post and was painted two tone Ivory and Imperial Silver built in Janesville, WI. The car is currently painted in a faded Blue and when I picked the car up and was driving it had a 283 powerglide replacing the original 6 cylinder but like I stated before the person that converted in to a V8 did a great job as the replaced the radiator with a xxxx V8 radiator (they have a different part number that the 6 cylinder model did) and the 283 has the correct xxxx casting and stamps as I stated are unique to xxxx. The car was last redone back when sag carpet and crushed velvet interior was cool as you can see in the pictures. Disclaimer the sag carpet is not included. The car has some surface rust spots, the rockers need to be replaced and the floors have patch panels that have been applied in the past. As I stated this is a project car so the car will have to be finished, but would take a lot to make it a driver again. It must be trailered as its not running and is sold as is where is.
