Yet another animal looking for a tasty treat in the Hy-Vee East parking lot, a concerned citizen was having no such thing. Once she realized what I was up to, namely the possible danger involved, she immediately called the shelter and arranged for my safe transport.
A young boy, I'm friendly as can be with the folks who are currently taking care of me. They pet me, I lick them, and the cycle goes round and round. I love it! I am emerging as quite the curious canine and have thus far sniffed every square inch of the facility that I've been exposed to. I'm not finished though. I see rooms I have yet to tackle and I'm super anxious to do so. After all, I, like most dogs, learn best by way of smell.
Both fun-loving and rather comical, I'm all about the teachable moments and am proving most eager to please. I am currently learning how to sit and must admit that I can't wait to find out what other basic commands shelter folk are willing to teach me. It's like I'm in doggie school or something.
